I used them on this month's trip to Southampton from Leeds -EXCELLENT service and the best way to secure your journey. I wanted to go from Lancaster but it was full - I'd left it too late so got the Leeds coach. So efficient and well-linked to Cunard so you won't miss the boat! They trade as Intercruises www.intercruises.com

Answer by carberry, co.tyrone (06 Nov 10 12:53) to a QUESTION by clowes (04 Nov 10 12:52)
princess and p&o use eavesway coaches and with some cruises departing from southampton they are complimentary and we used them for our first cruise and found them to be ok,with the added reassurance that if you book through the cruise company and there is any delay the ship will wait for you,on our last cruise there was a bad accident on the motorway and heavy traffic coming into southampton due to the boat show and the ship waited for an hour before departing and some 40 people missed the ship so my advice would be to stay in southampton the night before.we did this on our last cruise we travelled down from heathrow on a national express coach(total cost for 2 adults and 2 kids return was £66) the day before and stayed in the novotel you can walk from the coach station to the hotel and we got a taxi from the hotel to the ship for £5 the next morning around 10am and we were on the ship by 12 noon in time for lunch.

if you go to eavesway web site there is a link to p&o and princess fares for 2011 and 2012 click on this and it will give you pick up points. but if the eavesway coach isn't complimentary with your cruise it's alot cheaper and just as good to get a national express coach.

Comment by Chris, Romsey (04 Nov 10 13:08) about a QUESTION by clowes (04 Nov 10 12:52)
I think "cruise connect" is the service operated for Cunard, but some other cruiselines incl P&O and Fred Olsen offer a similar coach service to the quayside. You should be able to get the info you need, incl pick-up points (usually motorway service areas) and prices, by trawling the relevant cruiseline's website which will probably have a link. ......... failing that, or for possibly better value, consider scheduled National Express & possibly Greyhound coaches or the train. From Southampton rail station or either coach service it's a £5 to £8 taxi ride to your cruise terminal......... Chris
