HI thomson celebration canaries DEC 27 2013 fly, cruise .& hotel stay .11 days ? has any one done a similar cruise does it stop late for fireworks on new yrs eve in maderia ? HAS anyone been in suite 060 on deck 8 & cabin 064 again deck 8 ANY information please THANKS GORDON,,.

The fireworks in Madeira on New Year’s Eve are a mere shadow of what they used to be. The recession has really bitten into them. the celebration is due to sail at 22.00 on new year’s eve, but it will stop just outside the harbour along with around 7 other ships, you get a far better view from outside the harbour than you will get if you are moored. Here is a short clip of the finale taken a few years ago, do NOT expect it to be anything as good this year. . .

HI THANKS for the detailed infomation ,,BOOKED the whole deal with thomson they didn,t even know about the FIREWORKS. WE HAVE SEEN THEM FOR PAST 2 YRS ,ON OTHER SHIPS,.but i thought they started at midnight & we would have sailed away,,.THANKS AGAIN GORDON
