Question: Parking 4 Cruises Southampton Anybody used this ...

Parking 4 Cruises Southampton
Anybody used this company recently? They do seem to be cheaper than other parking companies, and also let you drop off and pick up very close to the ship. Just wondering if it's as good as it seems.

Yes I used them in November and my car was stolen from their compound no compensation paid as under their terms and conditions,they do not assume any liability for loss or damage to the vehicle unless caused by their negligence. This does seem to be common feature with car park operators so suggest you check security and location cf compounds.

They offer a very good service. We used them last year and have booked them again for next month. You unload your luggage outside the terminal building and then drive across the road to the short stay car park where they meet you and take your car away. On your return your car is waiting in the short stay car park. They hand over your keys and short stay parking ticket along with the cash to pay at the exit barrier. Very good price also. It is only costing us £77 for an 11 night cruise in March.

Can I ask Meeson if they were able to contact this company by telephone after booking? I booked online last week and since then have been unable to get any response from the mobile numbers listed on their website. Begs the question " Will they answer their mobiles when I need to arrange to collect my car?

I did not have a need to contact them until my day of arrival. They sent a text early in the morning and after that I contacted them by text to update them on my arrival time etc. They responded with in a few minutes. The same applied on my return when I needed to give them dirsembarkation details.

Thanks for replying. My wife did contact them prior to me booking online and she asked them what the procedure was when we arrived with the car. She was told to phone the mobile 30 minutes before arrival and a rep would meet us to collect our car and to do the same when we were disembarking from our cruise. Sounds easy enough but since booking I have tried for several days to contact them on both of the advertised mobile numbers and nobody answers. It doesnt fill me with confidence that on a cruise day I may be faced with the same problem.

I researched than last year and established they had a lot of bad press from their Southampton Airport operation, being accused of parking customer cars in the street. When I approached them they denied it and provided pictures of their secure compound. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and booked them for a four day mini-cruise. Their website took my money quite happily but I then got an email stating that cruise parking was a minimum of 7 days. I was reimbursed. I suspect thay are small operation trying hard to make a living and will probably offer a good service but be wary.

I used them last November. No problem contacting on their phone numbers. Rang when about an hour away from Port. Met on arrival at terminal. Porter took the cases we handed our keys to the driver and walked into terminal. On return phoned from ship and were met by the short term car park with our keys and the ticket and money for the exit barrier. Mileage on car was correct and vehicle undamaged. Will use them again this year.

We used this company twice in 2011 and have bookings with them in May and July this year. Fantastic service on the 2 occasions we used them. Procedure as described by Cullen of Cardiff. Efficient friendly service and much cheaper than their rivals. Go for it!

I booked thro' PayPal begining of March for criuse in May, but haven't received any confirmation details yet. Contacted them by phone last week and asked for details to be sent to me. None have arrived. Just tried to send an e-mail and it got bounced back saying it doesn't exist.......Anyone else had a similar problem.
