You will enjoy the ship she is absolutely lovely, As for the entertainment not even Cunard can tell you who the guest entertainers will be as they don't know themselves until they are virtually walking on to the ship.as they move from ship to ship all the time.

Thank you for the info, I'm sure the entertainment will be a bit special as it is the Christmas season.

Hi Bernadette. Glad it is you! As you know we are back on the Queen Elizabeth this year, and were on it last year as well. We had Des O’Connor as the main turn last year; I must say he is really past it, so I am hoping for something better this year. They have Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve and Morning, and there is a brilliant fireworks display on New Year’s Eve in Madeira. It seems that we will be leaving the dock before midnight and doing circles just outside the harbour so everyone gets to see the fireworks Here is a clip of the fireworks finale, it is less than 2 minutes long, but the entire display is like that for over 20 minutes. . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMIEO5P3y8k&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL . But of corse you will again be both invited to a sail away party, I must say Cunard did give us the very best of parties in our suite. So far we are in 4192. We are hoping for an upgrade but so far no luck. If you want to give me your cabin number then I can log it just in case we do get moved and I can't let you know, so give us a ring when you are on board, I am sure you will enjoy it. PG & MG .

Thank you PG for the invite, my cabin is 4056 and like you I hoped for an upgrade as mine is only an outside obstructed view but I don't think it will happen. My friend particularly wanted to do this cruise to see the firework display from the ship and we will check out the youtube clip. See you very soon. Bernadette.

Hi There Bernadette, I have cruised with Cunard quite a few times, the entertainment and every thing else, has always been top class, you should have the time of your life, so enjoy yourself.

Holly Crabtrees Japan

By Holly Crabtree

I may be no Joanna Lumley but I can genuinely say after spending the beginning of this month touring Japan like the lovely Joanna , the experience was totally amazing. You may have already seen my last blog with myself and the Snow Monkeys. This time I will be taking you on a day by day journey, featuring all my top tips and what I loved and possibly didn’t love (although I will struggle to find anything I didn’t love) about this trip. So sit back make a cuppa and I hope you enjoy...

P&O announce plans for a huge ...

By Abbi Varela

Abbi Varela's blog

Is it just me or are all the ships being launched getting bigger and bigger! It certainly seems that way as P&O announce plans for 2020 for a huge 180 000 ton ship to join their fleet. The new ship will carry over 5000 passengers….the largest ever built for P&O and the British market. They are promising more choice than ever when it comes to dining, cabins, entertainment, itineraries and have said they have listened to passenger feedback and this is what they want. It seems after...

Ruined by the noise!

By Lucy Jefcoate

Lucy Jefcoate's blog

Probably one of the most important things to consider when choosing your cabin location – will it be free from noise. One would assume that these days, technological and cruise ship advances would mean that this would be something that we would not need to worry about but unfortunately not! there are a few ships still around that suffer from engine and vibration noise although saying that, it is a lot less common these days!I recently spoke to some clients who had just returned from a c...
