Time to celebrate'
St John Heaven!!!!!! Royal Princess anchored at Princess Cays Sea Walk Deluxe Balcony Cabin Inside the cathedral at Rio.  We hired a lovely guy called Benni  from a site "Tours by Locals" for a day in Rio and what a brilliant day it was he showed us different sights to the norm and we thoroughly enjoyed our day,  There were some impressive whale bones on display at Stanley.  Would not like to meet one of those whilst swimming George the reindeer who lives in Stanley, Falkland Islands.  We were lucky the weather was calm enough for us to land there.   Many times the seas are to rough to tender in. Puntas Arenas closed for Christmas, with no-one on the streets, except passengers off the ship. All you could hear was police car sirens occasionally.

Yes, USD will do fine. Even for instance on the buses in Aruba. You need plenty of $1 & $5 bills (for whatever reason $2 bills are viewed with suspicion) because many shops give change in local currency, though its not a problem with stalls & port taxis. Also helps your bartering at market stalls etc. Low denomination bills are difficult to get from the usual suspects in the UK, but you can only ask. But def decline any notes bigger than $20. ..... ............... your ship may be able to help by changing-down (esp in the casino of a US ship) ........ all first cruises are great & the Caribbean is made for cruising, have a good one ......
