It would cost a small fortune even if it was possible! The plane rules.

All very convoluted & unlikely. As Neil says, ferry from Portsmouth or Plymouth to north coast of Spain then overland. Or let the train take the strain all the way ............... C

How about a cruise which calls say Gibraltar and Lisbon? Many do that and she could get off at one and back on at the other? haven't seen any cruises which actually stop at anywhere in the Algarve itself.

Yes, there's P & O's Oceana, sails ex Southampton on 29 May, arrives Gibraltar 1 June and then calls at Cadiz on 9 June on the way back to Southampton. (But you would have to make it clear to the powers that be on board what you were up to!)

Sail = cruise? I don\'t think that\'s possible

Sail = Ferry? I think one has recently packed it in but the possible options are Plymouth or Portsmouth to Bilboa or Santander and then the 1300 km drive to Faro.

Sail = Yacht? Elderly mother through Bay of Biscay, possibly not. .....Neil

Unlikely but you'd have to speak to a travel agent.
