As said earlier , Princess might offer an excursion early in the morning that drops you at the airport around noon. Some cruise lines have started a service to check in on board the ship to your airline and the bags are sent to the airport by the carrier, check with Princess. 5 to 6 hours is not a lot. Who are you cruising with. Norwegian dock on downtown Seattle. HAL and Princess dock about a $15 taxi ride away. If your flight is after 2PM, the cruise lines offer shore excursions that drop you at the airport - pricey as usual! Other problem is what do you do with your luggage for the few hours - haul it around? Bear in mind also you will be off the ship between 8 - 9 probably on a Sunday when Seattle will not have yet awoken. If you do go independently go to the space needle, go up and have a leisurely coffee, enjoy the view and head to the airport. Best option is the ships excursion but they will not take you if your flight is beofre 2PM
