I have just booked on a Thomson Spirit cruise in October (Adriatic Explorer) - can only book single cabin (unless brave enough to wait until all booked then might get double for single price but may not!!) Unfortunately, and for unknown reasons of which I have discussed elsewhere on this site, the single cabins are only on Deck 2 and 3 (I have deck 3) inside and out towards the rear of the ship (?called aft) - I believe this ship has noise problems (less I am told on deck 3 than on deck 2) and I have to find out yet whether these are intolerable where I will be - I will leave comprehensive review on my return. I am offended that single passengers are shoved to the back though although at 33% additional supplement (approx) it is less than some ships although Thomsons are not the cheapest cruises they have consistently decent scores on this site. Oh well, time will tell!!!

Fred Olsen, N.C.L. (Epic), Swan Hellenic and Hurtigruten, who offer cruises at certain times of the year with no single supplement. If you have a large budget, Hebridean Island Cruises offer a very exclusive cruising experience. Brian Ingle is correct in saying that P&O Azura has single cabins, but I think you'll find that they are completely booked for the whole of 2010. Happy cruising! Jan

Not so many these day. Fred Olsen do, but you still pay a premium for them. The new 'Norwegian Epic' (sailing the Caribbean in June) is the only ship with single cabins and no supplement to pay.
