Is this a box or a ship?

really ugly - we have cruised many times and look for a ship that gives us comfort, style and intimacy - the new ship has none of these! we will not be joining this one in the future. M Daniel, Bury, Lancs

I only hope she doesn't find herself alongside RCI's Jewel of the Seas, the contrast would be only too obvious. Sleek and beautiful Jewel isn't a small ship, but isn't one of the latest massive liners either. I know which we will always prefer, because NCL's Epic is a perfect example of bigger isn't better. And I'm pretty certain we won't be in the minority.

I think NCL's Epic looks hideous. Was the lump stuck on top of the forward end left over from another ship? I think the shipyard wanted to use it up!! The cruise companies have lost the plot: we don't want these huge floating theme parks

YES!!!!!!!!!This is a very ugly vessel. Even uglier than the MSC Fantasia. What has happened to style? Looks like a Thomsons apartment block.

I do not like it at all. These new ships look like hotels and they are top heavy. there is no even flow on the upper decks its broken up. I like the style of the ships in the 70's. They are still on the seas and look graceful in the waters just like godesses they way they should be. Now they look like floating hotels that are top heavy. Im sorry I wouldnt go on one. I could see a huge wave crashing them over. It hasnt happened yet but it will. I also look at height and depth and more important is the draft, if the ship only has between 18-24 ft draft you will be bobbing around the ocean like a cork. I think this balcony style craze is a mistake. It is actually taking away the looks of a ship . I want to be on a ship that is beautiful. I think Sitmar had the right design with the 2 they had that Princess bought out. I believe one is now the Pacific Dawn and the other is Ocean Village 2. Those ships are absolutely the most beautiful ships on the water. Those ships on the inside just needed some refiguring but other than that they are my absolute favourite in terms of physical beauty.

I would agree with everybody else this is one ugly beast, we have a prison ship moored in our dock and this is just a larger version of it.
