We have been on five cruises now all with p&o. On all occasions we have flown with Thompsonfly or Thomas Cook. In January this year we were aboard Oceana and my sister got married on the ship. She was allowed an extra 5kg for her Wedding dress. Which she packed in a extra suitcase. All the very best.

Many thanks, that's great information I wondered whether I might get an extra allowance for my dress.

The airline could be Thompsonfly, First Choice or Thomas Cook. The P&O baggage allowance is normally 25Kg plus 5kg hand baggage .

P & O use several charter airlines and sometimes a schedule airline. There is a vast difference in your luggage allowances between the two types of carrier. Your best option is to contact either your cruise agent or P & O and ask them because we just cannot know your flight details even if we were going on the same cruise. Sorry, .... Neil.

Did you know that 10 Years ago around 60,000 British Holidays makers took a Nile cruise compared to approximately 4000 in 2016. That is a staggering decline in anyones books and despite the troubles in Egypt a decline that no-one could have possibly anticipated. No one can deny that Egypt has had its troubles with the Egyptian revolution in 2011 leading to a coup and the leadership changing hands twice before the 2014 Leader General Abdel Fattah el-Sisi took power. There have been a number o...

Thomson Cruises have made some changes in recent years and things are really working for them, in the last 5 years they have seen an increase in passenger numbers of 40%, with 20% being in the last year alone. They have always been looked down upon by a lot of customers, although unjustly so as their reviews have always been good. But with older ships and less of the pomp and ceremony of other lines they have been viewed as being at the lower end of the market. In 2016, they made a major ...
