thank you, we booked through RBof S so they are a bit slower at informing us, though we did get information around the new immigation proceedure for USA last week! we are off on a short break on vision of the seas at the beginning of Nov. --- that will be interesting. elmaH.

Hello again we have just had word from our T/A that the Edinburgh flight to Acapulco in January 2010 has been changed to 21st Jan at 22.55pm it was supposed to be the 22nd Jan, but still dont know where it will be stopping for refuelling in USA yet but by the message from McCulloch it sounds as if it will be Sanford in Florida. Hope we dont get off the plane because if we do we would have to go through Customs and thats a hassle. We are really looking forward to it and wish it would hurry up and happen. all the reviews of the Panama Canal are very good.

hello again, husband has been in touch with our T/A, who in turn contacted P&O, according to P&O the flight is 7.20am from edinburgh on 22nd, touching down in florida, not allowed off, with thomsonfly, though they could not yet confirm time or date!!!. we can only wait and see. elma

Hi again Elma, honestly it seems to me that 1 foot does not know what the other foot is doing! After I read your comments above I was puzzles so phoned P&O myself to get it confimred and right enough P&O said it was 7.20am on the 22nd Jan that we fly from edinburgh so I then went to my T/A to give him a telling off for giving me the wrong Info so he again called P&O and P&O confirmed it is on 21st Jan 10.55pm with Thompsonfly and stopping at Sanford in Florida for refuelling then arriving in Acupulcco at 7.20am in 22nd Jan. It is so annoying when we get 2 conflicting results. What puzzles me is that if we got to the ship before 9am we would have to wait until about 1-2pm before we would be able to get into our cabin. So I am sorry but I still dont know who to listen to now as P&O should know but if 1 says 7.20am and the other says 10.55pm one of them is not doign thier job right. I think we will just have to wait until we get out tickets to find out. regards.

Hi there. We are booked for the November cruise, on Oceana, leaving from Edinburgh also. Have had letter about ESTA and it says we will be stopping for re fuelling at Sanford (Orlando) for 1 and half hours but does not say whether we will get off the plane. Do hope so as it will be nice to stretch our legs! Really looking forward to it as I am sure you are too. Our flight time is 22.50 on 26th November and arrive in Acapulco at 7am next day. Not sure of time difference there but this hopefully gives u good guide of times.

thank you for that. we asked p&o when we were on a recent cruise, they thought we would stop at chicargo on route. i think it will be a wait and see, though expect to have a long flight out. enjoy your break.

Hello, we are on the same Cruise flying from Edinburgh on 22nd Jan and we have just had a letter from our travel agent saying we will be stopping for refuelling in USA but not yet known where about and that we must have an ESTA in case we have to get off the plane when it is refuelling in USA and an Esta is needed prior to travelling you can get that over the internet we got one no problem at all. If we do have to get off the plane customs will want to see your ESTA. The flight usually takes 16 hours but that includes the stoppage. At least we know that it is not a direct flight it has to be refuelled.
