The Sofitel is the only hotel that is right in Gatwick North Terminal (the other at Gatwick is the Hilton but that is at South Terminal) It is an easy walk from the hotel to the check-in desks all under cover. Everyone that I know who has stayed there has been very satisfied. Hope this helps.

Sorry but I don't have any information about the Sofitel. Whenever I have to spend more than a few hours in Gatwick I stay in the Yotel right in Gatwick South Terminal. This is only a short train journey (5 minutes or so) to the North Terminal. Parking (I think) has to be arranged seperately - I fly in from Dublin. But the price is more than reasonable - a lot less than a standard airport hotel.

Hi ,yes we always stay at the Sofital Gatwick and have the car park included in the package. This is best booked in advance as you seem to get a better deal. You simply drive to the hotel, go to reception, check in, leave your luggage in your room and then park your car in the long stay car park, that they allocate at north terminal. You then get the car park's bus back to the north terminal,(these run every few minutes). Then you either walk, under cover, back to the hotel or go shopping !!!! or find a place to have a meal or a drink !! Of course, the hotel has resturants and their own bars. If you want to visit South Terminal, or you are flying from there the next morning, just hop on the monorail, all under cover and only takes a few minutes. Hope this is of some help.

Stayed their Dec 06, and Hilton Dec 07, I personally prefer the Sofitel, as its a much nicer hotel and easy to commute between the South Terminal via the airport shuttle.

FUNICULAR FUN IN BERGEN!

By Hannah Wilson

So on our recent Fjords cruise on Balmoral myself and Holly decided that having splashed out, quite literally, on the Rib Adventure in Eidfjord that we would just do our own thing in Bergen, get off the ship and wander around, however, just outside the cruise terminal we happened upon a Hop On Hop Off Bus Stop and decided that we would have a tour round Bergen on that, covering more ground. The tour takes around an hour and you get a good taste of the city, Norway’s second largest, all ...

A mini cruise to remember..

By Ruby Perkins

Ruby Perkins's blog

I’ve just come back form a cheeky three night mini cruise with the girls so I thought I would give you a sneaky peak at some of our best bits.We were a large party of twelve with a mixture of friends, some who had met through www.CRUISE.co.uk. Some of us are still here but others had moved on to pastures new, so it’s always nice to catch up with everybody to see what people have been up to and what’s new in their lives. Not everybody knew each other which was also nice as we all...
