Yes the wonderful Cunard Queen Mary 2 goes to NY regularly, spring to Autumn. However you would need to time your stay. She turns around in just one day - in other words if you crossed from Southampton to NY and returned on the next sailing, she only stays one day! It's a wonderful experience but not cheap compared to flying.
