Shore excursions are on line about 7 months before departure. Why on earth anyone would want shore ex on this cruise when it is so easy to DIY is beyond me though....

Thanks for your help...we will look around Christmas. We are planning to do most DIY as we are usually very adventurous but were a bit unsure about Rome and Florence as this is our first big cruise (only done a 4 day taster before)and they are both some distance away and both large! Also as I said in the question we are in Florence on Sunday , so is it worth it if the galleries and museums are closed? Thought we might just explore Livorno or Pisa instead.
