Most jewellery is at a very good price in St. Thomas. Nothing we have bought there from reputable shops has been valued below what we paid but it is wise to know general value of things before you go. Some people even go to the extent of photocopying pages of jewellery and electrical items at home and taking them with them ...Nei.

Not as good value as they have been as gold has risen considerably. My advice would be if it is something you really fall in love with then buy it, also a lot of merchandise originates from China and is mass produced, as I have recently learned when having an item valued which I purchased in St Thomas.

Well there are endless jewellery shops on Havensite Mall where cruise ships dock, so you can shop around with a few yards of the ship.

St Thomas is one of the best shopping meccas in the carribean along with Aruba.Every shop is a jewellers,a perfumerie or a liquor store! The name of the game is haggling and you can pick up some amazing bargains, especially compared to UK prices. If you can't find what you want here you must be even pickier than me.

I have bought jewellery on three occasions in St Thomas and when they have been valued in this country I have been more than pleased with the valuation I always get my jewellery at Ballerina jewellers.

Is River Cruising Accessible?

By Hannah Wilson

Quite simply, River Cruising is my passion, my favourite type of cruise. i have been lucky enough to do five river cruises to date and the next one can’t come soon enough. Top of my river cruising bucket list has to be the Mekong, gliding through Vietnam and Cambodia – one day I hope! You would think that river cruising would be perfect for people with limited mobility, smaller ships with less passengers on, only three decks etc, but is river cruising really ideal for wheelchair an...

Ive had a great time!...

Sam Smith's blog

It seems to me these days that people spend so much time moaning and whingeing about this and that, nothing works like it should and nothing is ever good enough, I thought it nice to share the thoughts of this refreshingly positive chap recently stranded on the NCL Star out in Australia.Francis Lahue and his wife were passengers of the Norwegian Star as it faced engine problems last Friday morning after leaving port. The luxury cruise ship was forced to bob without direction 30km off the coas...

Robin Clarke's blog

So this week marks the Japan week promoting various different cruise lines that are incorporating a stay and cruise, with new 2018 itineraries now in place. So why is Japan a top destination in 2017 – Here’s what my colleague Holly had to say.“Japan had proved to be a top destination for 2017 and is already in demand for 2018 so why is this the case? After visiting Japan myself in 2016 and also with Joanna Lumley’s Japan airing on ITV in September 2016 it really is of n...
