Woodhouse - Answered a Question by Griffiths (29 Nov 08 18:18)

Good news. We have been on a P&O cruise that docked at Brest and the ship docks within a couple of hundred metres of Oceanopolis. In fact it was in full view from the ship.

Thank you so much :) I know my children will love oceanopolis, knowing its so close means I can promise they can visit. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question.

Sorry to be a Job's comforter but be careful making promises like that. There are times when ships cannot reach port for various reasons, so surprise them on the day but hold off till then if you can bear to. I'm almost certain your wish will be fulfilled but at sea nothing is that certain. ....Neil.

This is the larg...

It is amazing how many guest I have spoken to over the last few weeks that have booked excursions through the cruise liner, which I may add are quite expensive. Cruise liners make a lot of money selling excursions at a hefty premium, but many people are happy to pay the extra because booking with the ship is the easy option and they have the comfort of knowing the captain will not leave port until everyone on his ships tours is back on board. I totally understand the reasons behind this but b...
