Hi, Although I can't help with any of your questions I would appreciate any thoughts and advice after your cruise as we are doing a similar visit with Atlantica at the end of July Enjoy.

What a lovely choice of holiday but I'm afraid to get to the places you have mentioned an excursion via your cruise line is necessary as there is no public transport infrastructure in Geiranger, Olden or Honningsvag. I know such excursions are not cheap but they are worth the money, especially Mount Dalsnibba and the trip from H'vag to the North Cape. Enjoy your cruise - the fjords are beautiful. Regards - Jane.

Thank you for your replies but does this mean that there are no taxis available on the quay at Olden for example? Usually we have been able to tour independently by this means.

Hello again! There are definitely no taxis at Geiranger, nor, if I remember correctly, at Honningsvag. There may well be taxis at Olden but as my last visit was '05 I can't say for definite and things do change. Hope you find something suitable that meets your needs - have a great holiday! Regards - Jane.

Hello again! Good news - I found out, quite by accident whilst browsing the P&O website, that there is a bus from Olden to the Briksdal Glacier - it's called the Glacier bus and leaves from the tourist info. office in the village at 9.45am. It starts from Stryn and stops at Olden on route to the glacier - I got this info. from the website by Googling 'Glacier bus from Stryn to Briksdal'. Hope this helps - enjoy! Regards - Janet.

Is this a ste...

We have just returned from what was an absolute winter paradise.
