Thanks for your reply. I too wish I had the courage to totally give up meat. I also worked in my sisters restaurant for 12 years. I just find it so appalling that some of these countries treat dogs and cats as a food supply. The way they are butchered gives me nightmares. I know that our country is also appalling in the way that animals are slaughtered for consumption. I in my line of work have an insight to the cruellty that is inflicted on our companion pets. That is the only reason I commentated on (Hope you didnt eat dogs) Well done you! Know I am missing out on some probably fab places. But thats the way I am. Wish I could change things. But cannot. Will keep trying in my own small way though.

It is easy to find recommendations of local tour operators if you look in the right place - go to a browser and enter 'message asia cruise' and the first link returned should give you all the info you need .

Mysterious Myth or Superstitio...

By Alana Mills

Ahoy there!Sailors over the years have had many superstitions that they believed in. It is no wonder if you think about it as they navigated around the world with no satellites or ship to shore in-case of an emergency. Also, bear in mind as going to sea is one of the worlds oldest occupations, the time these myths were established, it is only natural that where inexplicable events have occurred, superstition and myth have played a major role in providing reasons for their occurrence. So here ...

My first Transatlantic.

By Steve Fuller

Steve Fuller's blog

I’ve just returned from my first transatlantic cruise. I’ve always wanted to sail into the U.S.A and fly home. To say I’ve been and seen my friends across the pond without flying. I have to say i did really enjoy it. I very much liked the ship. There were a couple of hiccups and if I’m honest I probably wouldn’t do a transatlantic again but I’ve ticked it off. Thais why you have a bucket list to do what you want to do and tick it off the list.It had been 10...

Naples a great port to visit

By Shirley McCue

Shirley McCue's blog

I remember my experience of returning to Naples as a cruise passenger with fond memories. Most passengers were eager to scramble into coaches that would whisk them away to see the fascinating ruins of Pompeii or drive down to the winding roads of the Amalfi coast on their journey to Sorrento. This was not my plan as I wanted my family to experience some of my childhood memories. Naples is a large city steeped in history with lots of hidden treasures, some a little too far to venture to ...
