Hi there. I have just the place for you. I found this restaurant, The Coal Pot, when in St Lucia on the Aurora Christmas cruise 15 months ago. As a retired hotelier and Restauranteur, you have a sure fire recommendation. The website is http://www.coalpotrestaurant.com/. It is actually in walking distance from the cruise terminal, depending on your fitness. Seafood to die for and superb setting. My wife and I will be back there on Arcadia Christmas 2009 (just booked today) You will not regret the choice. Bon appetit. Richar.

Can anyone tell me more about this? Instead of everything being charged to your credit card at the end of cruise,we have been told that you can hand over currency to purser to put onto cruise card & each time you make a purchase/drink ect it automatically takes off final bill.

Tell you more about this restaurant in St Lucia, or about using cash? Me thinks you are on the wrong page Mr Stewart.

The ships were always old and small, but customers loved them none the less. Well, that’s changed con...

Looking For School Holiday Cruises?

By Amy Ginder

Amy Ginder's blog

This time of year we have a lot of calls asking for late availability for the school holidays. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it is very late in the day. Most cruise lines have filled all of their 3 and 4 berth cabins and those that have space will charge you astronomical prices. So what do you do if you are looking to cruise in the school holidays? The answer is book early! Book now for 2018, if you leave it to nearer the time not only will the prices climb but you are unlikely to ge...

Thomson Cruises have made some changes in recent years and things are really working for them, in the last 5 years they have seen an increase in passenger numbers of 40%, with 20% being in the last year alone. They have always been looked down upon by a lot of customers, although unjustly so as their reviews have always been good. But with older ships and less of the pomp and ceremony of other lines they have been viewed as being at the lower end of the market. In 2016, they made a major ...
