I don't think he is, I've read peoples reviews that state Kane (who was the assistant cruise director last Nov) is the cruise director this year.

We went on the Destiny in april of this year and Kane took over as cruise director and I have to say that, in my opinion, he was very good.

We have met Kane and he was also very good,i just hope Gavin is still about he was really good in the shows and was very approachable looking forward to seeing Kane again in Feb.

Hi we were on the Emerald in June and Gavin was the cruise director on there until October so dont know where he is now the Emerald has finished. We first met him five years ago on The Airtours Carossel and then have seen him twice on the Destiny. We love him and I would be disappointed if he has gone from the Thomson fleet. He said to us he didnt know what Thomson had planed for him next!
