We are cruising on the RCI in May and would like to know if there is salsa dancing - as I would love to learn it.
Sorry, I don't know - but I hardly imagine that an American 'fun-type-ship' is big on ballroom dancing. There will be belly-flop and knobberly Knees competitions, Surfing, rock climbing and ice skating.
It sounds like you need Cunard, Saga, P&O or Fred Olsen.
No ballroom to speak of & not much in the way of instruction on board. They had a sort of 'Come Dancing' competition & for practice I think they used the skating arena(defrosted, of course). Many activities available, but compared to other ships I'd say ballroom dancing was not a priority.
What a pity you are not cruising in November 2010 (From 8th to 219th) as there will be lots of Ballroom Dancing instruction on the Independence of the Seas.
Music for Dancing.
