Thank you so much for your helpful comments. It seems we won't have any trouble finding a suitable place to while away a couple of hours! Regards - Jane.

Hi it maybe a good idea to contact the irish tourist board or google cork.i'm from n.ireland but have never travelled as far down as cork but if it's like any other irish town finding a pub with irish music won't be a problem believe me!!

Cork has some fab pubs but I visited so many that I can't remember their names-sorry!Some have the music advertised on chalk boards outside so I'm sure that you will have no problems finding a suitable venue.

Cobh has pubs and is a very nice historic town. NOT to be confused with Cork ! however most irish live music is played in the evenings - good luc.
