You will need San Diego or Los Angeles as a start point & RCI, Carnival, NCL all do Mexican Riviera Cruises. It's a long way to fly for a 7 day cruise, as most are, & in my view as a holiday on it's own I wouldn't bother. Mazzalan, Peurto Vallarta, Cabo, have very little to offer & we found an hour around the souveniro shops & we were back on the ship. It's OK as a tag on holiday, as we did a week in Las Vegas then a 30 minute flight into LA to pick up the ship. Combining the the 2 made it a good holiday & the cruise gave us a chance to relax after the excitement of Las Vegas. Sorry it was a negative response, others may give you a different appraisal.
