Q: It is many years since I've been on the Minerva. This time I'm travelling alone on the 16 day Baltic cruise at the begining of August '09. What can I hope to expect or not expect on this ship now.
Any suggestions on the best way to get to Dover from Southampton, I've been spoilt in the past by having the cruise terminal on my doorstep.

Trish, Many of the stalwarts of Swan Hellenic are really happy to have "Min 1 " back, she is a much smaller and a more intimate ship than Minerva II. You will find that the people on board are mostly academically minded and enjoy the lectures etc as there is little "entertainment" as such in the evening . But the lecturers will tell you all about the free tours, and the additional tours for the next day or two and they are experts in their field with a huge amount of subject knowledge. Food is fine and with only a small number of people you get to know many of them. ......Neil
