Lager is available in draught in most bars, Beer is bottled or cans 4-5 euro, work on 5-6 euro plus tip a pint and you realise why the packages are a good deal...shorts are about 6-7 euro a drink.....x1 and J2 have to be purchased at least 5 days before departure...enjoy the cruise...j

Hi, I have just returned from a cruise aboard the Costa Mediterranea, having sailed with Costa a number of times I took a drinks package. drinks are expensive! My advise to you is to consider a package if you like a drink or two? The savings are considerable. There was an onboard Beer Package for 20 draft beers (40cl) on sale for 82.80 Euro, this DOES include the !5% service charge. An individual bottled beer will cost you 4.50 Euros PLUS 15% so this is much more expensive. My advise is to consider the X1 package but you have to pay for this prior to departure, easily done by contacting Costa. I hope this information is of help to you and I wish you a happy cruise. Almost certainly No!! Italian cruise lines generaly do not do pints, a large beer, about haf pint, will set you back about 4 Euros. I'm sure others can confirm this. PS Do not forget the 15% service charge on top.
