Q: I have booked my drinks package (premium alcohol) on Celebrity Constellation and I've also paid my gratuities up front. PLEASE can somone tell me if I should expect to pay much more once on ship. I've read you have to pay for drinks brought to your room?????? Do you have to pay for room service or is that included in the prepaid gratuities???? Can anyone think of any thing else I will be liable for charges for??? I have also paid for 4 excursions up front. It has all helped with the planning but want to be aware of any expenses I would class as unexpected. More than happy to tip extra for those who go over and above their call of duty though :)
Many thanks.

Your premium package will cover your drinks and speciality coffees, fruit smoothies etc - anything upto $12 . You are correct room service drinks and mini bar items are not included. If you do want a drink for your cabin then go to the nearest bar and order what you need and take it back to your cabin. You will need to show both cards if there are two of you. Also at anytime from any of the bars get some bottled water to take ashore with you. Room service is free (including regular teas and coffees) and the menu choice is very good. However it is customary to tip just an odd dollar (or euro) or two to the person who delivers it. As you have prepaid your grats do not feel obliged to tip anymore to the table wait staff and cabin attendant. The only extra you will need is if you want any hair or spa treatments, purchases from the ships shop, a dabble in the casino, dining in any of the speciality restaurants and sometimes they charge a nominal amount for ships shuttle buses into port. Apart from that then there is of course you spending money ashore.

It is normal practice to tip the waiter who delivers your room service - a couple of dollars or euros is normal. But you do not have to use room service! Be careful of purchasing specialist coffees as these must be paid for - normal coffees are free.

You will have to pay for any alcoholic drinks brought to you by room service and any drinks from the fridge, these are not included in the drinks package, you can bring your own alcoholic drinks back to the cabin with no additional charge and you are only aloud to order one drink each at a time and you can only have wine by the glass. Tea and coffee are free of charge with room service. The only other items that you will ha e to pay for is the spe is it't restaurants and any spar treatments, and hairdressing/ nail treatments. Enjoy.
