Q: We are cruising with our daughter, son in law, 3 year old granddaughter and 9 month old grandson on 2nd Feb, IOOS to Canaries. Does anyone know if there are 2 formal nights or 3 on this cruise? How many semi formal?
On a different topic, we notice there is no beach excursion on Tenerife and the Loro Parque trip only has 3 hours in the park? Is it possible to walk to a beach in Gran Canaria with a pushchair?
We can't really use local taxis for trips, as they won't have kids car seats.
Any ideas or info will be welcome.

Brochure and website say 2 but we went on this cruise last year and there were 3. Had to wear same long dress twice!!! Seems the captain can decide so pack for 3 if you like to dress up.

You should be able to walk across town in Gran Canaria to a big beach. Check it out on google earth. If you do take the car seats, I can confirm we did Loro Park by taxi to get longer there. When we were on IOS nobody seemed to bother with semi-formal, so second night my menfolk didn't either! It was too hot for jackets in the MDR.

With reference to kids car seats, why not take your own with you as I am assuming you are travelling from Southampton and will be using them for the trip to the port.

Don't think taking car seats will be an option, unfortunately, as both have isofix bases, which overseas taxis probably don't accomodate.

The RCI website, FAQ section, will give you the info on formal nights and dress codes for all lengths of cruises............Wilba
