Hi Wilba don't often disagree with you but we have to bear in mind the many who will be looking forward to a cruise on the Ventura in the coming months and I think this might be a bad remark from their point of view as many of them maybe first time cruisers. There was an issue over Christmas/New Year and they hopefully will ensure this is not going to be an ongoing problem so I will shut up there ... Bill.

GAWD! I thought you had more sense than to say that Wilba. And anyway the Barnetts are going in September not in School holidays it will be different from youths getting drunk stupid in Dec / Jan. We were there 2 weeks before the Xmas Cruise and it was brilliant no trouble at all.

School hols or not, there will still be loads of kids. There are a lot of people on Ventura and they are not all going to be angels - as in any community. Unfortunately a couple of incidents have been blown out of all proportion. Wilba made me laugh, which at this time on Monday morning takes some doing!!!

Hello there, we were on the Ventura in November. There were a lot of teenagers who's behaviour was impeccable. They were no trouble at all, in fact the opposite they livened up the disco and even got all the old folk up dancing. They should be given praise where praise is due, they are not all lager louts.

If I were you i would read the brochure or look it up on the internet call the cruise line, but one is usualy advosed so you know what formal wear to take, it's really very simple, just a matter of thinking and using your brain sorry we have dome many cruises and always make sure we know eactly what to take with, so we do not lok the odd ones out, we have done up to 6 cruises in a year and it's the best holiday in the world, have done the far east so many times love it, bt nothing like a cruise. Good luck my friend.

Lisa West's blog

Yesterday we saw the launch of Thomson 2018 summer sailings go on sale, I must admit they have some fantastic itineraries. Thomson also announced their next ship the TUI Explorer for summer 2018 and the TUI Explorer 2 will follow in 2019. I think this is really exciting news for Thomson.More great news is the The TUI Discovery will also sail from Newcastle from May 2018 , she has some lovely itineraries round the Baltic and Norway. The fact that the ship sails from the North means you wil...

Transatlantic Ports Of Call

By Emma Davis

Emma Davis's blog

On our recent transatlantic cruise onboard P&O Britannia we had 4 ports of call during our 13 night itinerary, and I thought I would let you know a little bit more about the ports we visited and what we got upto. We travelled with a 2 year old so we couldn’t do anything to strenuous! Our first port of call was Dominica, this was a new destination for me having never visited the island before and we decided to book a little trip through P&O. Our little boy loves trains so we opted...
