Been on 2 MSC cruises and found the dress code to vary, most were in short cocktail dresses, maybe 25% in long gowns, but was shocked to find some didnt even bother to dress up. enjoyed cruise though.

Europeans tend to be casual dressers by day and even in the evenings some of them don't go to much trouble outside of the captain's formal welcome and farewell gala evenings. It's worth taking some smart outfits along for these but otherwise you can dress pretty much as elegantly or casually (within reason) as you wish without exciting comment. I'd take the LBD.

Seasons to Sail.

By Nicola Milligan

Before we cruise it is vital that we match the right destination with the right season or time of year. This will depend on your individual needs and expectations. When I worked on the high Street and couples came in for a Honeymoon in July for example but wanted somewhere Far Away and Exotic because that is what you do for a Honeymoon my advice was to closer to home at that time of the year as we have amazing weather in the Mediterranean so pay for overpriced destinations to just get rained ...

Bliss in Alaska and Joy for China

By Anne Eaves

Anne Eaves's blog

Being a great fan of NCL cruise lines I have welcomed the news that the 2 newest ships to join the fleet in 2017 and 2018 will be based in China and Alaska respectively. Norwegian Joy which will enter service in Summer 2017 will be based in Shanghai and Tianjin. I have recently returned from a cruise on Norwegian Epic around the Mediterranean and there were a lot of Chinese staff on board who were training and getting ready for the new ship.Norwegian Joy is being styled exclusively for the Ch...

So this weekend I celebrate my First, or Paper, Wedding Anniversary!I cannot actually believe it’s been almost a year since I tied the knot and it got me thinking about how fast time actually moves, and how much those big and life changing events are hugely important in ones life.Being a Cruise Agent means it’s both a job, but also a passion of mine, travelling around the world from place to place, coast to coast, and drinking in as many places as possible before I croak – h...
