I haven't been on the Island Star, but a few years ago went on the Escape and on the formnal nights everyone was dressed up. I'm sure everyone will want to dress up, especially at Christmas. More recently, I have been on P & O and Princess Christmas/New Year Cruises and everyone made the effort, even the children who looked wonderful.
