ESTA is a complete waste of time, you still need to queue with your green card at US immigration

You must remember that the ESTA is not a visa. It is confirmation (or denial) of your eligibility for a visa waiver. You will probably still have to fill in the dreaded* green card even if your ESTA application is accepted. *Don't know if it's just me but I have difficulty matching the answer boxes to the questions..........Jon

I would have thought that Carnival Destiny would be sailing out of Miami in which case you will have to complete the ESTA application just to get into the USA. That will cover you for everything from then on.

I assume you mean Caribbean islands so the answer is yes and no. Yes if one of those islands is US territory or if even by default you have to land on US soil, no if they are not US territory.

But as it only takes a few minutes to complete and is free it is worth doing so that should you wish or be made to go to the USA it is done. ....Neil

Agree with above it is so easy to do it on line and it is valid for 3 years. I went to Vegas in September and it was very easy to go through as they already had my esta info infront of them. It is worth doing it. If you are going to Puerto Rico then you will need one

We don't know where you are going so why not fill the ESTA in any way? It takes 5 minutes of your time & costs nothing, but without it, if you need it, you could be in trouble...........Wilba
