I hate have to say this but you have selected one of P&O's most formal ships.Yes you can use the Buffet Restauarant but why miss out on the Gala Dinners which always coincide with Formal Nights.Not only that some the Bars will be out of bounds to your husband and believe me P&O will stick to the rules.For the sake of a couple of 100 quid for a dinner suit and a jacket from M&S you could well miss out on some of the best Nights of your cruise.Have another go at him in fact have a good Nag.

Hi, yes he can go and eat up in the snack bar, you do what you want and if you have good table companions join them and enjoy yourself.....blow him it's your cruise as much as his. ......Neil

If it is a smart casual night you are allowed in any restaurant without a jacket and tie. On semi formal nghts a jacket is required.

On a formal nights the dress code applies to all restaurants and most bars except the Conservatory self service and the pub (Lords Tavern). Note that the main restaurants have a better menu on formal nights so it would be a shame to miss that for the sake of a jacket. There are three smart casual nights per week where you can use the main restaurant.....Brian
