We are cruising with NCL in 4 weeks time and we are hiring a hoist for lifting my husband in and out of bed from a company they recommended. It's quite expensive but as we have not had a holiday for 5 years we think we deserve it. The hire company are delivering it and collecting it from the cabin. We did a cruise with p and o a few years ago and they are wonderful holidays for disabled people. I'm sure you deserve your holiday as much as anyone else!
A review just posted regarding P&O and wheel chair/hoist ect it did not make nice reading.
With the greatest respect is a cruise really suitable for you.
How do you think you might be evacuated in an energency.
Are you talkling about a mechanical hoist? My mother in law has one for bed and even though it's classed as small, it's actually quite big. I can't see ships having these hoists in cabins due to lack of space. I may be wrong, you might be better phoning/emailing the cruise lines. Regards .
