If you mean 'check-in', then there is no online check-in with Thomson. You just queue up when you get to the port terminal buiding, hand over your credit card for them to take the details and have your photos taken to put on your card, which you use as a sort of onboard charge card and for getting on and off the ship. Then you go aboard.

If you select the Cruise reviews input Thomsons and the the ship Destiny you can read what others are saying. If you want to check where the ship is at any time Thomsons don't subscribe to the many cruise calendat options where if you are a member you can see where any cruise ship is at any time, hope this helps not clear what you are asking ....... Bill.

Caribbean Cruise, starts from La Romana Dominican Republic, port 15/20 minutes transfer from Airport your cases arrive at your cabin door approximately 2 hours after you board. When you get off the transfer buses from the airport you go through a check in procedure organised by your Thomson representatives were you fill in a couple of forms and present them to the desk reps and you will receive your identiy card with details of cabin number, name, this card is presented when you purchase anything on board it also is scanned when leaving and returning to the ship. ,the desks are were you decide how you are going to pay your onboard accounts with either cash or credit card, this settlement takes place onboard ship, and final settlement of your bills at least one hour before the end of your cruise. Hope this is helpful.

When disembarking from the ship do you see your suitcases before home airport?

The night before you leave the ship, your packed suitcases are placed outside your cabin for collection by the on board staff during the early hours of the morning. Your case(s)are taken to La Romana Airport by staff working for Thomson, they are placed in a cordoned off area at the airport,it is your responsibility to claim yours and take them to the departure check-in desk, were you then check them in just like you normally do when flying outbound or home bound. Hope this is helpful. I think you identifiy and claim and check your case(s)in for security reasons.

Glad you found it helpful. Ports of call all very interesting. St Lucia try to be on deck when the ship comes into harbour its a beautiful setting, also we did an afternoon Thomson organised island tour and was well worth it for imformation and scenery. That was the only ship organised tour we did,the rest of the islands we made our own arrangements plenty of mini buses/taxis ready available for you,and you find others from the ship will share if you are not confident on your own. Barbados must be a beach day, white sand at Carlisle bay,you can get taxi to the Boatyard short drive from port through Bridgetown. The Boatyard service the beach area and it costs 15 dollars each to use their facilities you get use of beach sunbeds and sun shades plus free drink use of showers, toilets.they also have a bar and food available FREE shuttle bus back to ship in the price. St Kitts we took a taxi tour of the island which also stopped off at Brimstone Hill Fortress a must to see,the driver was very interesting and proud to explain and point out things of interest on his beautiful island. St.Maarten.save your duty free shopping for this island good value and plenty of great shops etc.and a great beach in sight of the ship Tortola.great beach at Cane Garden Bay again short taxi ride from ship. To be quite honest all the places of call were of interest but i thought i would share the above with you. Sockets are the european type on board the Destiny you will need and adapter. Hope it gives you some idea of the wonderful things to look forward too.
