We had the same problem last month with a 10pm flight. We booked a hotel room for the day cost 90 Euro between 6 of us & we all considered it worth while.

If you are travelling with Royal Caribbean you could perhaps do what we did. Our flight wasn't until the afternoon so we booked a RC shore excursion to Montserrat. They took our luggage on the bus and delivered us all to the airport on the way back. I'm not sure if they offer this on your itinerary but it was well worth it.

You could always try a local hotel in the centre of Barcelona. They would probably charge a small fee but better than carrying your luggage around.

Yes, you can leave your luggage at Barcelona Sants train station. Around €4 per locker.

However, if you have booked the flights with the cruise, then they will take you to the airport and leave you there all day - so you will be there from around 10am. Take a good book - otherwise do as Mr Brown suggests and take a city tour to kill some time, you will still be at the airport in the early afternoon; or just DIY, dump the luggage at the station, and then catch a cab to the airport when you are ready around 7.30pm for €30 approx.

During this visit, she was also treated to a lovely weekend in Bali!As I sat looking through the pictures and listening to the stories, I was amazed at how much Singapore has changed. So, I have done a short interview with Jane, who has also kindly let me share some of her wonderful p...

Well its very nearly Christmas and all I wish for now is some snow! Walking the dog this morning everywhere was frosty and white, made me really feel in the festive spirit. One of the best things personally at this time of the year is the food and celebrations associated with Christmas and New Year, so this week I have decided to blog about 5 of my favourite places to eat. Some on cruise ships, some not.Fed Olsen Balmoral. I always enjoy the food on Fred`s ships and Balmoral last year was no...

NCL Gem Med Cruise

By Declan Doherty

Declan Doherty's blog

The last two stops on our itinerary were Livorno and Villefranche. As we had pre-booked the Monaco & Monte Carlo excursion for Villefranche, we opted to do our own thing in Livorno and take it easy for the day. After a short coach transfer from the port to the city center we spent most of the day shopping. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants and we found them to be very reasonable with plenty of choice. From here we had the option of visiting Pisa or Florence or both if you ...
