Hi there! You have made a wise choice going for an early sitting as it means you will be able to see both the evening show and the fun gameshows - if you went for a late sitting you would mis the gameshow. You are randomly sat at a table on the first night with other people, however there is an opportunity for you to swap - I thought the maitre'd was grumpy (reception agreed with me on that one!) but when we told them bluntly we wanted to sit with friends we met on ship they agreed...there wasn't many young people on the ship when we went so it was nice for us all to sit together and have a laugh...hope you enjoy your cruise - we loved it! have a read at the review I just wrote. ps I'm orginally from Saltcoats too - don't worry The Destiny is nothing like the Arran ferry! :-.

We are a friendly lot and don't really mond who we sit with, but the kids were asking us so I thought I would ask! Glad the Destiny is nothing like the Arran ferry, I can see it going in and our from my bedroom window and although its a lovely view, don't fancy a fortnight on it! Thanks for your reply.

When you get on board, go to restaurant and see manager. ask to see the seating plan and it will show the people on your table including age. you can easily get moved to make sure your of similar ages and family size. It will help you to enjoy the wonders of crusing. Good luck.

The first night is open dining when you arrive you will be allocated a table but the following day you will be able to request a change - the Dining Room Manager will be there to give you any assistance your require - You will love the Destiny we have done two cruises last year and enjoyed them immensely. You will most prob just be sat with your family depending on how many of you there are tabels are for 4 and go up to 6 unless you need more. familys with children usually go on early sittings as the kids get tired early. enjoy ur cruise.

The seating arrangment is up to you . if you prefer to eat with just your family request this with your travel agent. if you want to sit with another family ,see the major d (he usually has a desk outside the dining room) he will do his best to satisfy your family requirements.

It is impossible to know who you will be sat with, you can always ask once onboard for a table for just yourselves but it is always good to mix.

There is know way of knowing beforehand who you will be on a table with- you may not even be on a table with other children- there are various sized tables so you could request a smaller table that would just accommodate your family- once you arrive. the first evening is always open seating..

Hi, when we where on the Destiny (Red Sea cruise) we sat at a different table every night due to the fact we where given a table by the head waiter on arrival to the restaurant, we also sat with different people, I suppose you could ask the head waiter about seating you with another family or ask the information desk if any one else has children on board, or if you meet up with other people make arrangements with them. It’s a great ship with friendly helpful staff with lots to do and plenty to sea. Hope this helps.
