get to know your restaurant manager as soon as you arrive , as well as informing the company before you go . the restaurant manager can show you menus , and make sure you get the things you need . i sat with a lady on a celebrity ship who had special dietary needs and our restarant manager came to the table everyday and made sure her food was prepared correctly with no cross- contamination. the passenger was very grateful

We have been on the Thomson Spirit & Celebration with 3 coeliacs in our party (have to avoid gluten). We didn't eat the cereals as we weren't sure if they were actually gluten free (they were placed into un-labelled containers) but there were Rice Krsipies, Cornflakes etc. Thomson also provided gluten free bread for us so I am sure if you advise them in advance that they will be able to provided wheat free bread too. There was never a problem finding food to eat for any meals - breakfasts were either cooked or meat, cheese, eggs, fruits; they even cooked glluten free pancakes for us. They were really good with the evening meal too - we had the same menu as everyone else but they marked what was or could be made gluten free.

Most cruise lines, given advance notice, are able to cater for coeliacs and those with other dietary requirements. When you booked you should have advised your cruise consultant that you need a special diet. If you failed to do so, you should now contact Thomson or your agent without delay. Most of the cruise lines I have sailed with invite passengers with individual dietary needs to meet the Head Chef to discuss specifics.
