Are you cruising this year? If so then Independence is doing MyTime dining - you are able to reserve a table for 2 at a specific time each evening. Worked perfectly when we were on board recently - table for 2 at 8.15 each night. Get your T/A to sign you up for it.

My time dining, never heard of it spoke to RCI and they dont no.

As with any ship you ask at the time of booking and with a bit of luck you get one but there is no guarantee,RCI seem to have less 2 seater tables than P&O but they do have some,we have meet some great people on the larger tables over the years so do not worry if you get allocated a bigger table?

We have done 11 RCCL cruises. If you aim to get on board around 11am (even though they say 2pm) there is usually a desk available after you check-in at which you can request a table for two. These tend to be kept for couples who make a particular request for same. You may have to swop your sitting but if you don't ask - you don't get!
