Are you cruising this year? If so then Independence is doing MyTime dining - you are able to reserve a table for 2 at a specific time each evening. Worked perfectly when we were on board recently - table for 2 at 8.15 each night. Get your T/A to sign you up for it.

As with any ship you ask at the time of booking and with a bit of luck you get one but there is no guarantee,RCI seem to have less 2 seater tables than P&O but they do have some,we have meet some great people on the larger tables over the years so do not worry if you get allocated a bigger table?

We have done 11 RCCL cruises. If you aim to get on board around 11am (even though they say 2pm) there is usually a desk available after you check-in at which you can request a table for two. These tend to be kept for couples who make a particular request for same. You may have to swop your sitting but if you don't ask - you don't get!
