The price varies from 15 to 20 dollars per person depends where you want to eat they do advertise special 2for 1 deals but its mainly early eating and you will need to book very quickly ,there are only 5 resaurants that dont charge.

The price does vary from $15-$20 per person however, in Cagney's steakhouse (and Le Bistro as I recall) there is an additional cover charge if you order some of the more specialised items from the menu. We chose to dine at Cagney's on formal night (my son didn't want the formality of the Tsar's Palace) and found that if we wanted 'Surf N Turf' (lobster and filler steak) the cover charge increased by a further $10-$15 per person.

I am interested as to what you mean about the formal night as i understood that NCL was casual dress for every evening.

Hi just come back from a fabulous 2 week cruise onboard NCL jade. we ate in al speciality restaurants and they were all superb. Cagneys is an extra $20 per person, Teppanyaki $25 pp, I 'm sure that Le Bistro was $15 pp. There is an excellent Mexican which you have to reserve for , but the food is gorgeous and there's no extra charge. This is my fifth cruise and Ive sailed with Cunard, princess, p&o and Costa and I have to say that NCL is one of my favourite.

As per NCL Jewel: Le Bistro $15 Cagney's (Steak) $20 Sushi Bar $15 Chin-Chin (Chinese) $15 Teppanaki $25 Mongolian Hot Pot $15 Mama's Italian $10 I tried Le Bistro and Chin-Chin, I thought both meals were worth the additional money.

A Port guide to Le Havre

By Trevor Smith

I’ve done a couple of cruises now that visit Le Havre but on both occasions, I chose to stay on the ship and enjoy the facilities there. Next time I think I will get off and explore, weather permitting. Here is what I missed and what you could do when visiting this lovely French Town.A Taste Of Normandy Unlike the rest of France Normandy is blanketed in apple orchards instead of vineyards. For centuries these apples have been used to make a bubbly fermented cider and distilling that cid...

Best Low Cost Cruises

Michael Wilkinson's blog

Best Low Cost CruisesSince the advent of low-cost airlines, savvy travellers have come to realise that no-frills doesn’t mean no-satisfaction. Indeed, what is often perceived as prudent when it comes to air travel also holds true in cruising. Most British cruise lines would recoil in horror at being termed ‘budget’ so keep in their good books I will term them Low Cost. There is a wealth of affordable voyages available if you know where to look. Over-capacity in cruising hot-s...

Silversea was not meant to be!

By Barbara Hopley

Barbara Hopley's blog

On Monday 22 May I was booked to go on a ship visit of the ‘Silver Whisper’ by Silversea Cruises. We get invited to see ships all the time but do them on our days off as too busy to take time out of a working week. That’s how dedicated I am to see as many ships as possible as so much easier to sell when you have seen them.I had been looking forward to seeing this ship as have never seen a Silversea ship, it had been booked for a few weeks and I made my arrangements at home ...
