I've cruised numerous times with MSC and the food is italian, They do have 1 or 2 alternatives to the Italian menus but they are the same all the time, so if you dont like Italian food, dont book MSC. Another factor to bear in mind that if it's a european cruise, the other passengers will be mainly Italian and german with brits in the minority, so there wont be a lot of English speaking passengers. if you are thinking about the caribbean, then there will be more English speaking, as Americans will be the major passenger group. I dont have any experience of Cost.

If you want meat and two veg all the time I wouldn't go Costa - which is an upmarket MSC and the same applies to MSC. Costa is an excellent line but only for those that relish a truly multicultural approach to food and fellow passengers. We love it because there are hardly any Brits or Americans on boardand the food is Italian and Meditteranean in general and not boring old English which we can get all year round in England if we wanted.

Weve sailed on both the Allegra and Victoria (Costa lines). Yes - Italian "specialities" are available on every menu but so too is a good choice of "international dishes" - steak, lamb, pork, lobster, various types of fish etc. Every evening the Dinner Menu features an "always available" choice of chicken, steak and other international dishes in addition to the main menu. Don't worry - you'll have plenty of choice. As mentioned above the majority of those on board are continentals - but there are plenty of Brits and table arrangements are such, in our experience, that Brits are put together on the set table evening meal arrangement.

Disney Magic

By Betsy Davies

Well I have just returned from my 5th visit to Eurodisney with my family . Yet again it didn’t disappoint. There was 11 of us in total and we stayed in the Dream Castle just outside the gates and it was great !! We were up at 6.30 every morning and in the parks by 9 am impressingly first in the queue to get in on some days. Even though it was February it was still busy so we needed to fast pass some of the ride which always comes in handy. We were very lucky as we had a few days of glori...

For those who know me, will know our family loves a visit to the Big Apple…Here at Cruise we have some fantastic cruise offers taking in New York, where you can extend your stay and try something different. Here are few things to consider on your next visit to the City that doesn’t sleep! The hidden gem of the High Line is a disused railway line that’s been turned into a linear park, running from 30th street down to the meat packing district. It has lots of seating areas and...

Jewels of Asia

By Nicola Milligan

Nicola Milligan's blog

Way back in 1996 I could not decide which cruise to do for our honeymoon. Caribbean or Jewels of Southeast Asia. We plumped for Western Caribbean on board Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas. An amazing time was had but we promised we would one day try the Far East. So 21 years later we are jetting off to Singapore. After a Manchester Abu Dhabi then on to Singapore with Etihad we will have 1 night pre cruise to hopefully visit Gardens by the Bay and recover from our long flight then bo...
