We've just returned from a cruise on the Island Escape and in the Windjammer resturaunt which was a buffet there were plenty gluten free options clearly labelled. We ate at night in in the Oasis Resturaunt (waiter service where you paid a supplement but the food was amazing!) and the staff seemed really happy to cater for special diets there too. There was a good variety of food in all the restuarants. Have a nice cruise!

Hiya i think you have got mixed up with other ship island cruises dont have windjammer resturaunt.they have island resturaunt and beachcomber which is 24hrs and the one you ate in nightly oasis which is good .

Hi thanks for pointing that out - I realised my mistake after I wrote it. It was the beachcomber I was talking about and definitely the Island Esacpe. Can't remember which ship had the Windjammer!

Really good news recently when P&O announced that the much loved Adonia, which left the fleet in 2015, will be making a comeback. 1st of December arrived and so did Elfie!! We started to do Elf on the Shelf last year for my son Charlie. Its a bit of fun for all the family. It really helps you get into the Christmas spirit. In fact our whole weekend has been about getting in the Christmas spirit. Visiting friends and families and days out to the Christmas markets. We are lucky here in Edinburgh the Christmas market is huge if a little overpriced. No single supplements with Fred. Olsen

By Jo Cunningham

Jo Cunningham's blog

Fred Olsen have just announced their turn of year campaign, with great deals to encourage early bookings and have announced a number of sailings with no single supplement. Fred. Olsen are particularly good for single customers, they have a higher proportion of single passengers than other cruise lines, which makes it easy to mix and make friends. They have a number of single cabins on each ship but these book up early and normally the single supplement on the remaining cabins is just to...
