Farmer - Answered a Question by Roberts (14 Oct 08 21:14)

Have just completed a cruise on QV and had a table for 4 as requested. Tables for 2 were not in a good position and very few. If possible ask for a table on the outside by the windows and there were a lot of tables for 8 or 10. Food is fantastic and the Brittania Restaurant for breakfast was better that the Lido. The lido could get quite crowded as some of the selections were placed awkwardly. Enjoy yourself on board and will try to answer any more questions that you have.

It would have been helpful if you had stated which restaurant you where dinning in. As the Britannia is the largest, I will reply as that is the one. The Britannia is on 2 levels I recommend the lower level starboard side or overlooking the stern. Do not have an a port side table this is where the entrance /exit from the kitchens are. Dinning there is like having a meal in the middle of a motorway?. Dozens of waiters whizzing in and out all the time. There are very few 2 seater tables and the ones that are there are in bad locations, even less 4 seater tables. There is a great deal of 6/8 seater tables. I suggest the 1st sitting for dinner as it takes about 2 hours to have dinner. The ship is really beautiful on the inside, I am sure you will like it.

Many thanks for your very informative reply. As you correctly noticed I did omit to mention which restaurant we are dining in so luckily it is the Brittania restaurant. Thanks again.
