Unless it has changed the self service buffet closed at 1am. The ship is formal but Italian, so suits on formal nights. Italians seem to look smart in a donkey jacket. we brits dont. SEE Williams comment. If you cannot sleep go to the pool deckabout 6am and see them reserving the loungers in there nightwear. We enjoyed the ship, hope you do.....Find out about the drink package X1 from your TA

They have formal nights but only a few continentals bother with black tie .... after saying that they all do smart but with a far more casual air. Smart to them on formal will be for the men jacket and tie and on informal will be smart shirt, trousers. Equivalent for ladies.

Costa is extremely informal. Like most ships they have both waiter served and buffet dining options.....Harvey

hello kelly we have traveled on the FORTUNA and i would say that she is as formal as most ships of her type. we had eleven days, 3 were formal 3 were casual. and the rest were a bit miss and hit. i must say tho that the italian and the french are less inclined to dress up. but we thought the ship was great, thesaff were very attentive the food was fie als .have a good trip.
