Loved the ship - food boring and repetitive. Thank god i was only on a week. To put a cap on it - the aircraft, with the exception of thomas cook, were the worst in terms of being late (outbound 3 hours, inbound 11.5 hours !) and desperately small seats, tiny pitch and uncomfortable metal sticking into ones derrier, I have ever had to experience. Has First Choice changed for the better? Hope so.

We have been on the Island Star twice and I found the food in the buffet to be excellent both times - and I'm quite fussy!! We never even thought about using the other restaurants as a result, but other people who did seemed to think they were very good as well.

Food really nice in the Buffet restaurant have sailed 3 times with the star and 4 on the escape, do not reckon much for evening meal in the lido decks, restaurants are too casual, you feel you are sitting in a cafeteria. The oasis and the steakhouse restaurants are really good and worth a visit even paying for the extra you sit in luxury and pampered, On the Star in November it cost us £19.00 for 2 people with wine and that was 3 courses and the food was delicious. I am sure you will enjoy what ever you do.
