Q: Hi, we are going on the QV next month, as it's the first time we've been on a dollar currency ship, I was wondering wether Cunard convert your account to sterling (when settling the bill by card) or if it's just left to the card provider.
Many thanks
Geoff

As a matter of Corse Cunard will not convert it, but just to be sure tell them NOT to convert and let your Credit Card Company do it for you. We have got a Santander Zero credit card that does not charge any conversion rate (at present)

Late into your cruise, Cunard will offer to convert your on-board account (USD) to the currency of your card (GBP). ............Since the conversion rate that's offered will almost certainly be poorer than the rate given by your card provider, you should decline & allow your card to be charged as billed, in USD. .........
