O'Connor - Answered a Question by Phillips (03 Nov 08 23:21)

Sorry, but get real!! you pay the price you agreed to pay, if you had any sort of head on you , you would have bartered for a better price!you were so eager to get booked early, that you forgot you couldn't afford the price you paid in the first place, but if you can afford it STAY STUM!!! alot of people are in a much less fortunate situation than you and I, so stop grumbling and trying to put people off because Christmas is coming and you are somewhat sounding like a SCROUGE!

I don't think you need to be rude to people O'Connor. I am well aware there are people less fortunate than ourselves out there but that doesn't make what carnival are doing right. There will be a lot of Carnival people out there with out jobs in the near future and perhaps if Carnival had looked after their customers better they wouldn't be needing to move their ships to Australia. This has nothing to do with affoding the price. If you had taken the time to read my last letter properly you would have seen that we have payed for the Cruise at the ORIGINAL price. I am sorry if I sound like Scrouge but can you afford to throw money away at the moment ? Please remember that Fuel supplements are being dropped for these big companies and if Royal caribbean can pass these savings on to their customers why can't Carnival. I wonder if your outburst is because you are an employee of Carnival ? Why else would you attack in this way someone who is genuinely upset by being treated badly by Carnival. Scrouge I am definitely not. Please try and be less agressive in future. You will put people off posting on this forum.

Sorry you still unhappy with your dealings with carnival. there are prob. alot of people who dind their holiday either land or cruise hugely discounted at or near the time of final payment, This has always been the case in the travel industry hence all the teletext offers for last minute holidays, when these start to sell you will see the prices going up. also i think alot of people might have had to cancell because of the economic situation hence lots of surplus holidays and cruises. atleast you are getting the hoiday you originally booked and at the price you were happy to pay originally pay and hopefully the cabin you wanted. this has always been a problem and we are in the same boat as you but we are going to have a wonderful time, just hope we dont end up sitting next to the couple who say...... we just had to come couldnt say no we had such a good deal etc etc and then i will be really peed off!! TRY and not let it spoil your trip .

Hi, I also felt hard done by having booked in June for our Caribbean hol next January. The price for the same holiday booking now is £250 cheaper. I thought it best to book early but in future I will wait till last minute.

The world busiest cruise ports.

By Brad Smith

Brad Smith's blog

With 2016 coming to a close, and no doubt another recording breaking cruise year I though I would do a bit of research into the world busiest cruise ports and get some insight into just how many passengers these hubs handle. To be honest the numbers are massive!!I don’t think the number 1 spot will shock many, but the Port of Miami welcomed over 5 million cruise passengers. As a major gateway to the Caribbean and the Bahamas, with countless ship based there year round. Transport links w...

Freddie Moser's blog

No I don’t mean Cuban Revolution………Cuba – One of the most enigmatic places on the planet, is suddenly becoming a rather popular tourist hot-spot, but more importantly a winning cruise destination, a revelation, one might say……..Since the recent talks of a reconciliation between Cuba and the USA, the country has now become a new attraction for many a nationality.Of course here in the UK we have been holidaying in Cuba for years, and although it’s...
