Well we've just booked for October 2012 on Oriana !!!! it depends whether you mind what cabin you get or even if the cruise sells out before you book it...if you're not that bothered leave it as late as you dare..... we particularly wanted to book Oceana for January 2012 and kept checking to see how it was selling...well we had to book last November as there were only 3 outside cabins left!!! it sold out very soon after....so if you really want to go keep an eye out on P and O website for how the sales are going!!!

We booked our September 2012 P & O Arcadia cruise the first day the bookings were started about three weeks ago as we were told by our agent that the earlier you book the better discounts you get and also we were told to look at the "obstructed View" cabins as they are very good value and a lot cheaper than the other outside cabins and we were lucky to get a very good cabin with very little obstruction and a huge cabin area. You can go onto P & O site and see pictures of all the obstructed view cabins so you can see what you will be getting. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

If you want a specific itinerary, on a specific ship, in a particular cabin, on a definite date get it booked. If you are just looking for a good deal leave it until later.

Past Passenger Discounts for N...

By Jo Cunningham

The world of cruising has always offered past passenger dicsounts in order to promote loyalty but in recent years many cruise lines have scaled down their generosity. P&O, Cunard and Fred Olsen all offer less discounts now than then used to.MSC on the other hand, despite being one of Europe’s largest cruise lines are keen to increase their British customer base and are extending their loyalty scheme to non past passengers too.MSC have always had one of the best past passenger scheme...

Two nights on Indy..

By Alison Ranaldi

Alison Ranaldi's blog

Last week I spent two nights on the newly revamped Independence of the Seas.We sailed from Southampton in glorious sunshine to Le Havre and back. This was my third time on board this ever-popular ship and I was keen to see the changes to her after a big refit. We had a balcony cabin on deck 9 which had everything we needed for a comfortable break. I’m not generally a fan of mini-cruises. They offer an excellent way for someone like myself to see the ships but I do not think they are a g...
