Since most schools have not broken up by then, I suspect you are unlikely to find many children of those ages on board.

I doubt there will be many children of any age on this cruise and to be brutally honest with you there will be little for them unless they like more "mum and dad" type activities ie dancing, jazz band, theatre type shows plus the obligitary ice carving, vegetable carving etc - so depending on their tastes it may be that they need to take a suitable MP4 / Ipod and other forms of amusement. We are on this very cruise too - but as a couple ( aged 47 and 45 ) and I expect 98+ % of the pasengers to be aged 40 plus. Hope you have a great time too - I am sorry this answer/ opinion is not so good but at least you can make some plans in advance.

Thanks for your answer. I was aware when we booked that it was during term-time but due to my ex (the childrens father) having a couple of heart attacks a couple of months ago and an elderly mother who probably won't see another Christmas, it was the only time we could take a well earned break. We are also in our forties and fortunately the children aren't that young and have previously enjoyed a couple of cruises (we were on Destiny when it was Sunbird for its last Christmas & New Year in the Caribbean) so know what to expect and Im sure they will enjoy it anyway.

We are going on this cruise with our two sons (15 and 17), we are going to celebrate our eldest sons birthday on board he will be 18. We have been on the Destiny (previously the Sunbird) every year since he was 10! I think that tells you how good it is!

Hi there, sorry but I posted that question last year! We went on the Tropical transatlantic 7.12.08 for two weeks and it was great, so much so that we booked the three week transatlantic sunrise for april 2010 the day after we got back. This was our third trip on Destiny (plus once when it was sunbird) and I cant recommend it enough. Have a great time.

What The Fukushima is going on in Japan?

By Jamie House

As a cruise consultant, in recent years we have seen huge growth in our Tailor-Made and Bucket List itineraries; few more popular than visiting Japan and Korea. We have the cherry blossom Japan tours with the bullet trains, Hiroshima and Robot Cabaret shows. Some of our Princess and Royal Caribbean itineraries visit Seoul in Korea.Right now the world waits in anticipation as Trump flexes his muscle over the Far East. Navigator of the Seas…..In just a few weeks I’ll be boarding Navigator of the Seas with my family for our cruise. My little girl is five and I have been telling her all about the ship and what we’ll be able to do. Of course at f...

Norwegian Cruise Line to Add ...

I find it hard to believe that given the amount of family friendly cruise options around these days, all of which include swimming pools, some even large scale on board water parks that it’s not compulsory for cruise companies to employ lifeguards, especially when you consider some of the recent tragedies that have occurred.Norwegian Cruise Line have announced that it will be joining Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise Lines in employing certified lifeguards at all of the family pools acr...
