Some of the P&O ships have a night nursery and take babies from 6 months old on most of their cruises. They have a special childrens tea at 5.30 and they also do pureed food and provide baby food. The night nursery does not charge providing you collect baby by a certain time, after that they start charging if you go into the early hours of the morning.

You might want to take a look at Disney cruises, although more expensive they are totally child oriented and they offer a nursery (babysitting) service. They have plenty of adult activities too, but no casinos.

The minimum age for babysitting is 12 months on Royal Caribbean. You will probably have some responses to say that cruises are not suitable for children etc., however, I couldn't disagree more. We went on our first cruise last year, quickly followed by another one as we found it such a good family holiday! Staff on Royal Caribbean seem very welcoming to children, particularly in the main dining room. It may take a bit more planning if baby is being formula/bottle fed in terms of sterilising and making up bottles The ships are very family friendly and there is lots for children to see and do (they have baby play sessions which you can take them to). A word of warning for smaller children is that they can only use the swimming pools if they are out of nappies (i.e. fully potty trained). The exception to this is the Freedom Class ships (Liberty and Independence etc) which have a dedicated baby splah zone. We are taking our youngest on a cruise from Miami next year when she will be just under one year old - we can't wait. It is worth considering a balcony cabin so that if you do want to put baby to bed you can sit out and enjoy a drink or two.
