Kite - Answered a Question by Hale (31 Jan 09 19:09)

Hi from past sailings with Cunard, i have to say it would not be my first choice for children. Cunard are by far the best cruise company we have traveled with, however they are geared for the the more discerning passenger, and im not sure that kids will recieve the most enjoable of cruises. i would suggest P&O or Royal caribean for children. Hope this is of some help.

Thank you for your answer. As past happy P&O cruisers with the family we have always been more than happy and we were about to try Ventura but the recent press diverted us at the last minute to Victoria as we are also travelling with 2 grandmothers. We have been on the QE2 and Caronia (without children) previously and indeed found them discerning and most enjoyable. I like to think our children's behaviour will be appropriate and past cruises have given us no cause for concern as far as taking them on Cunard is concerned. As the cruise is booked the deed is done and I will write a review on my return from the children's point of view for future cruisers. If it does not work out we will be back to P&O for our family cruises!

Travel insurance is one element you shouldn’t go without. Here at cruise we ask the question when booking have you got your travel insurance in place. We also have a link for insurance on the bottom of our emails to holiday extras. Most people don’t realise that you should make sure you have your insurance in place from the minute you book your holiday, as then you will be covered for cancellation. You may have seen the recent news that Celebrity Edge is now on sale. We’ve seen some artists impressions of the ship and I have to admit, when I first saw this image, I thought it still had part of the scaffolding attached to it….Turns out it’s not scaffolding. It’s a ‘Magic Carpet’.Alrighty then…. So, this Magic Carpet is bright orange and looks pretty horrific but I think the idea is good! The Magic Carpet will be what makes Celebrity Edges prof...
